Recreational sailing We hold several learn to sail classes at the start of the semester. Students who have completed the learn to sail class are then welcome to join us for fun sailing days. These events usually happen on sundays a few times during the semester. Recreational sailors who show a strong interest and ability may be asked to join the competitive team practices. Recreational sailing events are announce at the weekly evening meeting and through the UMsailing list server.
