    Recreational sailing

    We hold several learn to sail classes at the start of the semester. Students who have completed the learn to sail class are then welcome to join us for fun sailing days. These events usually happen on sundays a few times during the semester. Recreational sailors who show a strong interest and ability may be asked to join the competitive team practices. Recreational sailing events are announce at the weekly wednesday evening meeting in the UC pm and through the UMsailing list server.

    WHAT:  LEARN TO SAIL CLINIC
    WHERE: We'll meet at Stanford Circle
    WHEN: Sunday, September 2nd at 9am 

    If you are interested in learning how to sail, you MUST respond via email by Friday at 5pm.  We have limited space and will accept people on a FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE basis.  All participants must have filled out the Wellness Center Registration Form and the Coconut Grove Sailing Club Release Form (both attached, if you need to fill them out) AND have paid their semester dues ($50 in cash/check or $52 by credit card on site) by Sunday. You can hand in any forms and pay dues on Sunday morning as well.  You will receive an email on Friday night confirming that you have a spot for the Learn to Sail Clinic. We are also looking for any available drivers, so if you have a car on campus please let us know if you would be willing to drive down to the Club (a 10 minute drive).
